A Longwood Christmas

My mom, little sister, and I planned a trip. Just us women, taken at the beginning of January, prior my little sister’s departure for Morocco with the Peace Corps.

“A Longwood Christmas” was on exhibit. We chose a pretty miserable day (weather-wise) to make the trip. Wet and cold. Rain and sleet. We were a bit ill-equipped, having forgotten our umbrellas in the car. So, we began our visit in the beautiful, extensive conservatory.

Afterwards we had lunch, filled with reassuring conversation, at the on-site Cafe. We finished out our day touring the Peirce-du Pont House. I’m just really thankful (my husband stayed home and tended to the littles) and glad (despite the weather) I had the opportunity to do this with them.

Leave something lovely.
